Presentation
The Relay for Life of Sitka plays an important role in Alaska’s economy through its work with the American Cancer Society. Through community events like the Sitka Relay, we work hard to fund cancer research and lifesaving patient services. In rural Alaska, this role has a large impact in smaller communities, and especially on businesses whose insurance often pays for the medical treatment. Throughout treatment, from diagnosis to Survivor’s groups, the American Cancer Society’s goal is to make this easier on Alaskans.

Bio
Tristan Walsh is the American Cancer Society staff partner for the Relay for Life of Sitka.  He is a lifelong Alaskan and was born and raised in Fairbanks. A year and a half ago, he began working with the American Cancer Society, supporting the mission of helping Alaskans fund life-saving cancer research as well as expand access to patient services throughout the state. He is an identical triplet and has a dog named Waffles.
