Presentation
 This is a 20-minute presentation originally given at Southeast Conference on February 13, 2018. It is an overview of events of 2017 that led to widespread fisheries closures to pass more king salmon to spawning streams. It compares the restrictions in fisheries being taken today, to those that were put in place in 1985 under the Pacific Salmon Treaty.

Bios:
The Chinook Futures Coalition is an organization concerned with one thing; the availability of Chinook salmon fro harvest by Commercial and Recreational fishermen in Southeast Alaska. Deborah has been involved with commercial fishing since 1978 when she fished a hand troller…”The Nibble”. Married Dave Lyons and fished the troller long liner from 1985 until 1999. She served on the Alaska Stated Board of Fisheries from 1990 to 1999 and on the Pacific Salmon Commission from 1995 to 1999. She is the past Executive Director of the Pacific Salmon Treaty Coalition from 1995-2000 and Jan 2016 to October 2017.
