Bios
​SAFV’s mission is to provide empowerment-based safety and advocacy services for victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence while promoting a community of non-violence and respect. Sitkans Against Family Violence (SAFV) recently launched its capital campaign to renovate and expand the shelter to increase the capacity to provide safe housing for victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.

Michelle has been at SAFV for over 5 years. Michelle is from Valdez, Alaska and moved to Sitka in 2000. She has a passion for the work of supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence and promoting a community of non-violence and respect.
