Presentation:
Marijuana is Cannabis Sativa, with over 2,000 strains of this plant in production. Do you know why we call it by its Mexican slang name, and why people choose to prize and use this weed over so many others in the field?

A brief history and its known and suspected applications will be told so that you can feel better informed about known facts versus historical fiction when the topic is brought up (or down). Is it addicting and does it alter the user beyond a few hours of intoxication? Can it prevent seizures? You will soon know the answer to these questions and more.

Biography
Dr. Fribush has been a medical doctor for over 40 years. He has current board Certification in Family Medicine and Geriatrics.

Through the years he has had his own practice, founded a geriatric services company, been a founding member of the Capital District Physicians Health Plan, worked for many years as an Emergency Physician, helped  form a physician billing company, and worked at both SEARHC and Sitka Community Hospital. Now partly retired, he works intermittently as an Emergency Physician and Hospitalist.
