Michelle Bonnet Hale, Director of the Division of Water in the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation
Biography
Ms. Hale is a chemist with 25 years of experience in water quality protection and management in Alaska. She has managed a private environmental chemistry laboratory, has served as environmental coordinator for the Kensington Mine, and has extensive experience with wastewater discharge permitting. She worked for the Department during the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, and has been back with DEC since 2000. Ms. Hale is a lifelong Alaskan.
