Event Description:

The Southeast Leadership Summit is happening in Sitka on September 14th and 15th, brought to you by Sitka's Emerging Leaders, a workforce development program of the Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce.

The Southeast Leadership Summit is two days of connection, professional development, and inspiration for the next generation of leaders. This event brings together early- and mid-career professionals from across Southeast Alaska to grow their networks, sharpen their skills, and engage in meaningful conversations about the future of leadership in our region.

Designed for professionals ages 21 - 40, the summit features interactive workshops, keynote speakers, and breakout sessions focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, financial wellness, and other core career-building topics. Attendees will leave with new ideas, expanded connections, and actionable tools to take back to their communities and workplaces. Learn from regional changemakers, connect with like-minded peers, and gain tools to move your career forward.

Childcare

We will be providing childcare so that all can attend all of the Summit's activities. Please indicate below your needs and we will be in touch with you with more detailed information. Sunday childcare will be at a centrally located facility and Monday's will be provided on-site at UAS. Childcare is provided with support from the Early Childhood Coalition. Traverse four courses of progressively challenging activities suspended high above the forest floor. Learn, grow, be challenged, and make unforgettable memories with fellow Summit attendees!

Aerial Adventure Sampler

10:30 am | Transportation departs Harrigan Centennial Hall
11:00 am | Tour begins
Explore the Squirrel and Fox aerial adventure courses in one thrilling hour! Suspended high in Alaska’s forest canopy, navigate fun rope and timber obstacles using our harnesses and a smart belay system. Perfect for beginners, this sampler is a great start to your Alaskan adventure with friendly guides and stunning views.

Salmon Tales Lunch

12:00 pm | Lunch begins
Join us at the park’s newest attraction, Salmon Tales, for a special Summit lunch. We’ll gather under the shoreside pavilion to hear insights from the adventure park’s leadership team while enjoying a meal of fresh salmon bowls (with an optional reindeer hotdog). Conversation Cups are back, helping us connect and learn more about each other in a fun way.
